Purpose Isn’t a Job Title

Let’s get this out of the way:
You are not behind.
You are not lost.
And you don’t need a five-year plan to be living with purpose.

Somewhere along the way, purpose got confused with position.
We started treating it like a destination — a dream job, a singular calling, a title that would finally make everything click.

But here’s the truth:
Purpose isn’t a job title. It’s a way of being.

Purpose is not a slot you fill.

It’s not reserved only for entrepreneurs or public figures or people who “knew since they were six.”
It doesn’t require a platform or a polished personal brand.

Purpose is how you move through the world.
It’s the values you embody, the impact you leave behind, and the care you extend — even in the quiet moments.

It’s how you show up at the meeting, not just the job you’re hired for.
It’s how you parent, how you advocate, how you listen, how you lead.
It lives in your choices. It lives in your alignment.

You don’t find your purpose once. You practice it.

Waiting to feel "called" can keep us stuck in comparison or imposter syndrome.
But purpose isn’t something you have to find before you can begin.
It’s something you can choose to live out — today.

And yes, that purpose may shift. It should.
Because you are growing.
And purpose that’s honest will grow with you.

How to think about purpose differently

In the Cor Framework™, we don’t treat purpose like a final answer — we approach it as a rhythm of reflection, alignment, and courageous action.

Ask yourself:

  • What do I care about enough to stay connected to, even when it’s hard?

  • What impact do I want to have on the people and spaces I touch?

  • What values do I want to embody — not just name?

You don’t need a perfect elevator pitch.
You need permission to lead from what matters.

If you feel behind, read this twice:

You are not behind.
You are not too late.
You are already living pieces of your purpose — even if you can’t name them yet.

Every time you tell the truth about what matters, you’re living with purpose.
Every time you choose alignment over approval, you’re honoring your path.
Every time you support someone, challenge injustice, create beauty, or hold space — purpose is present.

It’s not just out there, waiting to be discovered.
It’s already in you, waiting to be trusted.

You don’t have to wait for purpose to arrive.
You get to live it — one intentional step at a time.
